This mermaid has been washed up to our world with an important message, the impact of our waste has been devastating in our oceans and the act exposes this sad truth. Sitting on an unsightly rubbish heap, the silvery mermaid is an unforgettable image. Created from ocean waste, recycled plastics and repurposed materials, this human statue performance shares with us a glimmer of hope and urges us to rise above the rubbish and do something about it.
