Writer and teacher Steven Quincey-Jones invites you to his workshop The Beast’s Tale: Fables, Allegories, and Chocolate at Craftivism we we’ll think about how animal stories have been used for social and political purposes in the past, and how we can use them in turn to shape our future.
Steven Quincey-Jones lives by the coast and likes writing fishy tales about the tricky relationships we have our shifting seascapes. His first novel is set on a sinking prehistoric island, and follows the fate of twins, Luna and Oona, as they attempt to evade both the tide, and a sneaky race of shapeshifting sea-beasts known as the Fishfolk.
Leave with a short, funny and rude fable…and a mild sugar high!
Suitable for all ages, but recommended for 8–12-year-olds.
